Transfer of Ownership:
• Samuel Armstrong purchased the property from the Mallock Family.
• Mr. Armstrong had two barns built (a main barn and a horse barn).
• The smaller horse barn was torn down between 1959-1960.
• The property from Samuel Armstrong’s estate was purchased by Louis Hirschman in 1944. • Hirschman retained ownership until 1952.
• Harold Stanton purchased the property in 1952.
• Mr. Stanton sold it to the Weitzel Family in 1959.
• From 1959 – 1963, the Weitzel Family developed the property into the Caledonia Country Club.

Interesting Details:
When Mrs. Joesephine Weitzel, former Co-owner of the Caledonia Country Club passed away in 2012, the love she had for her Wells barn was evident even from her obituary.
Present Owner & Present Status:
This Wells barn is still owned and operated by the Caledonia Country Club.
