Present Owner & Present Status:
This barn serves as the Clubhouse for the Cragie Brae Golf Club. During spring, 2022, the barn’s roof was replaced and metal exterior sheathing was added to the barn.
Interesting Details:
• The land originally encompassed 263 acres.
• The NYS Thruway Authority claimed 36 acres when the Thruway was built.
• This Wells barn replaced an original barn on the property that burned in 1914.
• This barn was built after John Talcott Wells, Sr. retired in 1914.
