Transfer of Ownership:

• This Wells barn was built during the ownership of George and Fredericka Schultz.
• Milton and Caroline Schultz inherited the property from his parents.
• They farmed the land until 1975.
• Milton Schultz gave up farming in 1975 and rented the farm land to Thomas Krenzer.
• Thomas Krenzer purchased the property in 1989.
• Brian Mittlestaedt purchased the farm in 1992.
• Alex and Tayler Kreutter owned the barn for several years.
• Ownership of the property changed hands during the summer of 2022.
• Mike and Ashley Kiviat were married in the barn and have become its new owners and caretakers.

Present Owners:

Mike and Ashley Kiviat took ownership of this property during the summer of 2022.

Interesting Details:

• When the barn was built, a silo was also built.
• When the silo was torn down, material was incorporated into Charles Schultz’s home.
• A metallic plaque including the barn’s building date and details from the Wells truss patent was placed in the barn’s floor.
